What was the highlight of Doublegem Beach Resort and Hotel
„Alles in Allem war ich sehr zufrieden.
Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich eingerichtet & der Blick auf das Meer vom Balkon aus war fabelhaft! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich & man fühlt sich willkommen.
Das Restaurant ist etwas teuer & bietet leider nicht so gutes Essen an. Der Fäkalgeruch aus dem Bad war auch unangenehm, dies scheint jedoch ein allgemeines Problem zu sein hier auf den Philippinen.

De ligging was goed, direct aan het strand. Het was niet ver van het centrum en toch heel rustig. Ook een mooi en groot zwembad.
- de kamer: de wifi reikte niet tot binnen de kamer, we hadden twee dagen van ons verblijf enkel koud water, de toilet spoelde niet goed door wat leidde tot nogal confronterende situaties. - het personeel was ongelooflijk onprofessioneel: bij een confrontatie over alle problemen, bleven ze aan de grond genageld staan en staarden ze je aan in de hoop dat je zou opgeven en je niets meer zou aantrekken. Voor het probleem van de koude douche kregen we een emmer en een teil als ‘oplossing’. Het personeel raakte ook bagage kwijt van een andere familie die hun valiezen aan de receptie had achtergelaten. - We moesten verschillende keren zelf vragen om onze kamer te komen poetsen. Soms zelfs meerdere keren per dag. - Ontbijt: ontbijt was zeer minimalistisch, wat je niet van een resort verwacht. Er was geen variatie, het was niet proper en rond 8u was het meeste eten al op en moest je verschillende keren vragen om bij te vullen. - De zwembadhanddoeken waren erg klein en soms ook erg vuil; met bruine strepen op.

Great location and facilities by the beach front but some final touches to make the stay more relaxing would have been a
The location is great. A bit of a drive away from town so it’s more peaceful than the town proper. The sunset is amazing in the evening and the resort facilities like the pool, beach bar, restaurant and breakfast was a bonus. It was also nice that they offered inland and island tours on the reception with affiliated companies. The view on the ocean view balcony is amazing.
I changed my booking dates on booking.com a month before I arrived to Palawan. Booking.com accepted the change but when I arrived at the hotel, the changed dates was not reflected in their system. This caused a lot of stress before we even checked into the property. Luckily it was sorted out in the end but it meant that we had to move rooms halfway through our stay which added more inconvenience. I think the reservations team is separate from the hotel and they are located in Manila which caused confusion. We also noticed that when we changed rooms, we were given toiletries that were not available in our previous rooms e.g. tooth care pack and face towels. Not sure if it was because they rushed the set up of our initial rooms. There was also a time where we put the do not disturb sign up but we found our room made up.
